The scene was quite creepy and disturbing in the movie. Remember how he threatened Carly by harrassing her with those scary tentacles? I loved how the author changed some unnerving things we saw in the movie. Thanks to Peter David's writing, the relationship between Sam and Carly seemed more natural and believable.Īnd the bad guys were less creepy in the book. Mikaela's decision hurt Sam deeply, and that was why he wanted to keep Carly by his side so bad no matter what. The movie never mentioned why Mikaela left Sam and how Sam managed to cope with the breakup, and everything was well explained in the novel. (view spoiler) Īnother good thing about this book is that we get to know the characters better. And since the characters were more well written, it was sad to see some of them die on battlefield. Unlike the cannon fodder and useless props in the movie, the Autobots in the novel had personalities. Although the beginning of this book was kind of slow and the plot dragged, things started getting interesting after I got through the first few chapters. He actually gave TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON life. I didn't expect much because the movie sucked, and I doubted that someone could actually improve the story and make things entertaining and realistic by writing a novel based on the script.
